The writer and singer of the 2007 hit “Love Song,” Sara Ba reilles, will perform for Ohio University students as part of the Performing Arts Concert Series this October.
Her latest album, The Blessed Unrest, was released in July and she is currently tour ing in support of the album.
Andrew Holzapfel, senior associate director of program ming, said Bareilles is a great addition to the Performing Arts and Concert Series.
“We are thrilled to be part of Sara’s fall tour,” Holzapfel said. “She is a frequently requested artist … and her single is climb ing up the charts quickly.”
That single, “Brave,” is No. 54 on the Billboard Digital Songs chart as well as No. 62 on the Hot 100 chart for the week of Aug. 24.
Tickets to see the singer/pianist go on sale Aug. 23 and can be purchased on the Per forming Arts Series’ website.
