A video made by an OU alumnus’ organization is picking up steam on YouTube after its Sept. 3 debut.
“I killed a man,” filmed by non-profit “Because I Said I Would,” depicts a Columbus man, Matthew Cordle, confessing his guilt in a fatal drunk-driving accident. The video currently sits at 176,172 views and is garnering a mixed bag of reactions.
The confession, which is 3:38 long, describes Cordle driving while drunk the wrong way down I-670 and colliding with another vehicle, killing Gahanna man Vincent Canzani.
Alex Sheen, an 2008 Ohio University graduate, is the founder of the non-profit’s website.
“(Cordle) feels very, very guilty for what he has done and he is just struggling with this,” said Sheen in a Columbus Dispatch article. “He wants to take responsibility for this. I can sympathize with him wanting to help people.”
So far no charges have been pressed against Cordle, according to the video’s description.
