An Ohio University student was reportedly raped in her dorm on South Green Monday morning.
The student, who lives in Pickering Hall, said she met the unidentified man at Courtside Pizza, 85 N. Court St., around 1 or 2 a.m. the previous night. She had invited him back to her room where he allegedly raped her.
“The victim (said) that she was eventually able to get away from the male and subsequently sought medical treatment,” according to a news release from the Ohio University Police Department.
According to the release, the suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6 feet tall, muscular with dirty blonde to dark brown hair.
OUPD advises students to take personal safety precautions, including paying attention to their surroundings, reporting suspicious people to the police and avoiding walking alone.
The victim’s name was not released by OUPD and The Post does not publish names of sexual assault victims.
