The Athens County Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team seized approximately 50 pounds of marijuana Tuesday, according to a news release from Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly.
After receiving word there might be a grow operation at the residence, Detective Jim Heater obtained a search warrant at 18755 N. Lafollette Rd. in Millfield, the release says.
According to the release, Donald Gribbet, 44, was arrested and transported to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, but he doesn’t live in house, which led detectives to believe the residence was only being used to cultivate marijuana.
Narcotics Enforcement Team detectives estimate the marijuana to be worth at least $200,000.
