With some of its members straying from their typical suit and tie for costumes as flappers, Teletubbies and bacon, Student Senate discussed a variety of topics.
Representatives from Race for a Reason started advertising early by speaking to Senate members about the April event.
“This year we are really focusing on increasing undergraduate involvement,” said Eric Mayer, a representative for the event.
The body also heard from Senate’s Research Director Andy Meyer about how college finances can better “make cents.”
There will be a panel Nov. 9 to discuss how students can get involved in the college finance process where students will have the opportunity to speak with individuals directly involved in the financial side of the state’s universities.
Senate appointed Lorne Owens as an at-large senator in the Student Appropriations Commission.
SAC’s current budget stands at $44,830.52, while senate’s budget is at $16,321.78.
