First Date, a new Broadway musical featuring Zachary Levi and Krysta Rodriguez, released its digital album Tuesday, and I may have not stopped listening since.
The musical follows blind date newbie Aaron (Levi) who is set up with “serial-dater” Casey (Rodriguez), and their first date is anything but usual.
I was privileged to see the show in New York this summer while it was in previews. It’s incredibly accurate, outrageously hilarious and essentially one of my all time favorite musicals.
Levi’s voice makes me melt like ice-cream on a warm summer’s eve. Rodriguez can belt a tune like no other, and the rest of the cast shines as they make the audio just as hilarious and exciting as if I were seeing it on stage again.
