Two Shade residents involved in a fatal crash Thursday have been released from O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, police are saying.
The residents—Ronald Hedrick, 53, and Wendy Hedrick, 39—sustained only minor injuries and that there was “no reason for them to be kept," said Ohio State Highway Patrol. Lt. George Harlow.
Ronald Hedrick, is believed to have provided a statement his account of the crash to police, Harlow said. The investigation is still ongoing at the moment.
“When the investigation is complete,” Harlow said. “We will forward the investigation to the Athens County Prosecutor’s Office.”
Guysville Resident Kurt R. Raschke, 69, was killed in the fatal accident Thursday morning, and has been transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The autopsy report may take several weeks to complete, Harlow said. Raschke was not wearing a seatbelt.
Raschke was driving a 1997 Buick LeSabre westbound on the Old Route 33 before crashing into a Hedrick's Ford SUV, according to the initial report given by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
