Dear Editor,
Does this sound fair to you? I enter the Baker Center parking garage to run a quick errand. There are no parking spots! I circle twice. Still nothing. So I grab an unmarked parking spot, leave for 10 minutes, and return to find a citation on my windshield.
OK, I shouldn’t have parked there but if the gate opens and lets me into the garage, isn’t that essentially promising me a parking spot? How long do I have to wait for a spot to open? How many times do I have to drive around? If the garage is full, have the decency to tell me so I can go elsewhere and not risk a $30 parking ticket.
