Athens City Council will meet at 7 p.m. for their weekly meeting at City Hall.
On the agenda tonight are issues regarding Mayor Paul Wiehl submitting an application for a Community Development Block Grant in agreement with the Ohio Development Services Agency.
The grant would allow the city to repair sewers and roads, and will consist of two public hearings on city council?'s part to decipher what Athens' residents would like to see.
Council members will also discuss appropriating $145,000 to purchase energy-efficient appliances for the Athens Community Center.
