The Ohio Board of Regents approved Ohio University's plan to tell incoming freshmen what tuition costs will be over a period of four years.
The plan, dubbed the "Ohio Guarantee" by OU, will offer the same cost to students for four consecutive years. It will start Fall Semester 2015.
The university's Board of Trustees approved the plan in January.
"Our plan, which is new to Ohio University, was developed as a way to provide better financial predictability to students and parents, increase the value of financial aid and provide an incentive for students to graduate within four years," said OU President Roderick McDavis.
