Missing 16-year-old found

Athens Police Chief Tom Pyle has confirmed the missing 16-year old boy, Jaden Smith, has been found and "returned home without incident".

Athens Police received a report of a runaway juvenile.

Jayden Smith, 16, of Athens, left his residence Saturday, April 19, at about 5 p.m., according to a news release from APD.

Smith contacted his mother later that day at 7:45 p.m. and said he was going fishing.

"Smith has not been heard from since and has been entered as a missing juvenile," according to the release.

Smith is described as white male 5'11'' tall, 140 lbs with curly brown hair and brown eyes. His clothing description was unknown.
