Sophomore pitcher Savannah Jo Dorsey was named MAC East co-pitcher of the week in an announcement by the conference Monday afternoon.
In a two-game series with Buffalo this weekend, Dorsey went 1-1, throwing 10 strikeouts with an ERA of 0.00. Dorsey only allowed six hits and four walks in her 11 innings.
So far this season, Dorsey has been 14-11 on the mound and has 155 strikeouts in 143.1 innings. When at the plate, she's batted .266 with three home runs and 15 RBIs.
Buffalo's Tori Speckman was the other co-pitcher of the week in the MAC East, after throwing a no-hitter against the Bobcats on Saturday.
