David Sedaris set to return to OU

One of America’s most celebrated humorist essay writers, David Sedaris, is making the leap from the New York Times Bestseller's list to Athens.

Presented by Innovation Arts & Entertainment and the Performing Arts Series, this event will feature Sedaris in the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium for a return appearance and Q&A after his 2009 showing at Ohio University.

The frequent NPR guest and best-selling author will primarily be in town to help showcase his latest book

Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls,

which hit the No. 1 spot on the New York Times Bestseller’s list.

The evening is expected to be night of “cutting wit, social satire and riveting conversation.” It will also include a question and answer session, as well as a book signing afterwards that will allow fans to meet the author in person.

In addition to these books, Sedaris is also the author of “Me Talk Pretty One Day,” “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim,” “When You Are Engulfed in Flames,” “Naked” and “Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk,” among others.

Sedaris will be in Athens Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. with tickets on sale now for $22.50 - $45.
