A 22-year-old woman reported Thursday morning she was the victim of a sexual assault.

The Athens Police Department released a brief incident report Thursday afternoon about the alleged sexual assault.
The report states that police responded to 14 N. Court St. just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday. That address appears to belong to the building that houses Red Brick Tavern, the Athens NEWS and Cornwell Properties.

According to an APD release, a 22-year-old woman reported she was sexually assaulted in the Uptown area.
The release shows that a suspect, identified as an "unknown subject," is in custody.
APD doesn't plan on releasing more information pending the current investigation.
