Missing student found after six days, according to social media

Sarah Kollin, a member of Alpha Phi Omega, went missing for six days and was found Friday.

Ohio University student Sarah Kollin, a member of Alpha Phi Omega, went missing last week and was found Friday, according to various social media postings.

A Twitter account titled OU Lost and Found tweeted Thursday evening that Kollin had been missing since Saturday, March 14. A "Sarah Kollin" is listed in the OU directory.

Friends and family took to social media to get the word out about their missing loved one Thursday evening.

Thank you all for sharing my post. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. Someone seen the posts contacted us and she has been found safe and is on her way home,” Stacey Kollin, who said she was the mother of Sarah Kollin, posted on Facebook today.

The Athens Police Department did not have a missing person report, or a report of Kollin’s finding, as of Friday evening. That doesn't preclude the possibility of unlisted reports or criminal investigation information with APD or the OU Police Department, which declined involvement with the alleged missing persons case.
