Emily Ginty, vice presidential, Tony Piccioni, presidential, and Makenna Myers, treasurer candidates for the Phoenix ticket.

Check out a Phoenix for Student Senate Q&A with 'The Post'

The election is next week.

How would you help students understand university topics, such as its fixed tuition program, and other university functions?

Piccioni: With the previous Student Senate, there was a lot of ambiguity; they didn’t disclose things well. So that’s a key part of our platform and our ticket that we want to be transparent.

If elected, what would you like to accomplish as an executive board?

Ginty: Being three leaders that the student body can trust.

What is one problem Student Senate has that you would like to fix?

Ginty: This past Student Senate, in particular people on their executive board, I personally noticed that they were using their position as senator for the student body to voice their own personal opinions and their own personal beliefs.

Why are you the best candidate for president?

Piccioni: I also think my morals, integrity, legitimacy (and) support for the students, practicality; I think that makes me the best candidate for the job.
