There’s not much time left before preseason camp begins, but the Bobcats will need to hire a new member to the coaching staff.
James Ward, the team’s cornerbacks coach, has resigned from his position, forcing the Bobcats to look for a new assistant coach, The Athens Messenger’s Jason Arkley reports.
Ward was only at the school for two years before leaving for, what CoachSearch.com cited as “personal reasons.”
Ohio’s season kicks off Sept. 3 at Idaho. The Bobcats beat the Vandals 36-24 in Athens last season on Sept. 20, 2014.
