The newest Bobcat to join the basketball’s class of 2016 verbally committed to Ohio University on Monday.
Jason Carter, a 6-foot-6 small/power forward from Johnston-Monroe High School, told the program he will join the team in two years.
Technically Ohio doesn’t have any more scholarships to offer, so Carter will receive senior forward Treg Setty’s at the end of next season, according to The Athens Messenger’s Jason Arkley.
Carter averaged 20.1 points per contest in 2014-15. He also made the Division II First Team All-Ohio team this past year.
