Get the lowdown on your Wi-Fi slowdown.
Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015:
It’s no secret that on-campus Wi-Fi has been a bit, erm, less-than-ideal this week.
Here’s the deal: compared to this time last year, there are around 17,000 more devices trying to connect to OU’s Wi-Fi, a university official told The Post.
That may seem like a lot. It is. You can a blame smart TVs, tablets and next-gen gaming consoles.
The good news is the OU OIT, (that is, Office of Information Technology), has taken steps to improve the situation, and is still working to fix the problem completely.
We have a full story on the WiFi-mageddon here.
