Post Haste: Seriously, you need to get textbooks; OU names new Women’s Center director

And read to the bottom for Athens bar specials.

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015:

Hi, folks. It’s hump day.

Normally, this is just a bad day. But during syllabus week it’s unusually depressing. You need to buy textbooks. Like, today.

The Post caught up with two freshmen buying textbooks Uptown.

“I feel like I’m setting my money on fire,” Ryan Jacobs, a chemistry major, said.

Trey Frederick, an engineering student, called the experience “heartbreaking.”

You know what’s more heartbreaking than buying books? Failing classes. You should get on that.

Lucky for you, we've got you covered on where to find books Uptown and elsewhere.

Weather

Mostly cloudy and no chance of rain today. Expect a little wind. High of 73. (Courtesy of Scalia Lab)
