Post Haste: Try these hangover tips if your Monday is rough; OU Wi-Fi is still wonky

Ohio University students might still have problems using the university's Wi-Fi.

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Monday, Aug. 31, 2015:

Did nightlife in Athens get the best of you this weekend? You’re not alone.

You’ve likely heard a number of miracle hangover cures. Everyone seems to have a friend that swears drinking a concoction of three or more unrelated liquids before bed or upon waking will like, totally get rid of your hangover, man.

But here’s the gosh-darn truth: the human body hates alcohol. It tears at the lining of your stomach, sends the body into disease-fighting mode and expands blood vessels, causing headaches.

Giving your body the time and tools it needs to flush the alcohol out of your system is the only thing that will definitely cure a hangover. Leaving the bar well before it closes will help with the first part. Pedialyte, or something similar, will do the second.

Also, don’t take Tylenol or any acetaminophen-based painkiller after drinking. Studies have suggested that mixing Tylenol and alcohol drastically increases your risk of kidney disease.
