Ohio opens MAC play this weekend on the road.
Sitting on a two-game winning streak, the Bobcats begin their Mid-American Conference campaign this weekend with trips to Buffalo and Akron.
Coach Aaron Rodgers said Ohio (2-5) will go into the weekend with an aggressive approach, starting with Buffalo (4-3-1) on Friday.
“We aren’t going to fear anybody,” Rodgers said. “They have a very good defensive team and obviously a very good returning center-back (Jackie Hall), but I think with our talent and ability, we’ll be able to create plenty of chances."
“It’s going to be tough for her to stop us by herself.”
Hall, a senior for Buffalo, is the returning MAC defensive player of the year and was third team All-American in 2014.
Ohio struggled to score earlier in the season, losing its first five matches, but recently the team has scored seven goals in its last four matches, two of which were in the losing rut, suggesting the Bobcats have converted more chances than previously in the year.
In addition, Ohio has only played two matches in the last two weeks, allowing the squad to rest before the conference fixtures begin.

Starting this weekend, Ohio will have double-fixture weekends for the next month. On Sunday, Ohio faces Akron (3-4-1).
Though starting conference play on the road, Rodgers will look for junior Alexis Milesky, freshman Stephanie Rowland and redshirt junior Holly Harris to find their way to the score sheet.
“I think our attack is very good,” Rodgers said. “This will be a good challenge for us.”
