Post Haste: #Tbt to Ohio University student complaints in 1948; Bird flu keeps turkey out of Shively

Students now complain about a lot of the same things.

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015:

This weekend, hundreds of Bobcat alumni will set foot on Athens’ brick streets once again.

Many things have changed since most of those alumni left, and life on campus is likely much different than it used to be. But thanks to Alden Library’s digital archives, we know a few things haven’t.

Below is a scanned page of the Athena Yearbook that chronicles common complaints Bobcats had in 1948.

It reads a little like Yik Yak. Students complained of crowded classrooms, long lines at the bookstore, and the taxing trek up Jeff Hill.

There is one thing missing: no one griped about spotty Wi-Fi.
