Post Haste: Virtual reality is here, and it's awesome; OU wins dental bill court case

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Monday, Nov. 9, 2015:

I bought a Google Cardboard this weekend, and you should think about it too. For about $15, you too can dive into the world of virtual reality.

In case you haven't heard of the final frontier of media, virtual reality — also know as VR — starts with video that was filmed in 360 degrees. It's like a panorama photo, but instead of only capturing the scene from left to right, 360 video captures everything above, below, to the left, right and even behind you.

360-degree video becomes virtual reality when you don a special headset to watch the video. The headset lets you view the video the same way you would look around in the real world; turn your head left and the video moves left, look up and the video moves up. You can see a video of someone trying it below.

If you want to know what the future looks like, buy a Google Cardboard, dive headfirst into VR and never look back.
