Basketball: What you missed during winter break

A recap of women's and men's basketball of what happened of winter break.

While some students abandoned Athens for winter break, both men's (10-4, 1-1 Mid-American Conference) and women's (11-3, 3-0 MAC) basketball dominated the tail end of their respected schedules. 

Here's how both teams performed:

Men's basketball 76-67 win against Cleveland State (12/12)

Ohio junior Antonio Campbell recorded his 12th career double-double and freshman Jordan Dartis started his first game for the Bobcats. The Bobcats blew past the Vikings in the second half, outscoring Cleveland State in the Quicken Loans Arena, 40-33. 

Women's basketball loses 64-47 to Duquesne (12/13)

Quiera Lampkins scored a career-high 26 despite the Bobcats dropping their third game of the season in Pittsburgh. 

Men's basketball dominates Ohio Domincan 93-69 (12/14)

Kenny Kaminski drops 31 points, as Ohio jump starts its five-game win streak. 

Men's basketball continues win streak against Jackson State (12/16)

Jaaron Simmons flirted with a triple-double (17 points, eight assists, six rebounds) as Ohio defeated Jackson State 72-67. 

Women's basketball travels to Wilmington, North Carolina for Christmas invite (12/18-12/19)

Bob Boldon and company defeated East Carolina, 64-61, and UNC-Wilmington, 75-59, with Kiyanna Black leading the Bobcats in scoring in back-to-back games. 

Men's basketball drops Arkansas-Pine Bluff before Christmas (12/21)

Antonio Campbell continues to dominate inside for the Bobcats, garnering his fourth consecutive double-double. Campbell scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.  

Women's basketball bests Middle Tennessee State (12/29)

Forward Lexie Baldwin scores 12 points for the Bobcats, as Ohio begins to gain momentum heading into the new year. 

Men's basketball defeats UC Riverside behind Treg Setty's double-double (12/30)

Setty tallies his second double-double ever (20 points and 10 rebounds) and Ohio's win streak peaks at five.

Women's basketball starts MAC play 1-0 after downing Western Michigan (1/2) 

Ohio starts conference play with a win thanks to Lampkins' 33 points and Dominique Doseck's 11 points. 

Men's basketball loses to Northern Illinois in the Bobcats' MAC opener (1/6)

Eighteen lead changes later, Ohio drops its MAC opener despite Simmons, Kaminski and Setty scoring double-digit points.

Women's basketball starts 2-0 in MAC play by defeating Ball State (1/6)

Black, Baldwin, Lampkins and Yamonie Jenkins all score double digit points for the Bobcats, as Ohio starts 2-0 in MAC play for the first time ever under Boldon. 

Antonio Campbell and Jaaron Simmons boost Ohio pat Ball State (1/9)

Yes, Ohio shot 34 percent in the first half, but no, it didn't matter in the end. The Bobcats eventually beat the Cardinals 79-73. Ohio plays again on Jan. 12 against Bowling Green.

Black's 18 points push women's basketball past Bowling Green (1/9)

Black's 18 points give the Bobcats their sixth-straight win, as Ohio next plays Eastern Michigan on Jan. 13.
