You could vote for the old guy from Modern Family.
Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Monday, Jan. 25, 2015:
A pro baseball player, a journalist and an actor walk into an Athens bar...
OK, I’ll spare you the joke. But those are the occupations of three people being considered to speak at OU’s commencement ceremony this spring.
Just before the weekend an email blast to OU students gave them the opportunity to vote on “peer-recommended” commencement speakers.
Among the nominees were Ed O’Neill (the old guy from Modern Family), Mike Schmidt (legendary MLB third baseman), Wes Lowery (reporter for the Washington Post, though his name is misspelled on the ballot) and Paula Shugart (President of the Miss Universe organization).
See the full ballot here. Votes must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., this coming Wednesday.
