Post Haste: There's apparently flaming water in Nelsonville; We know who your spring commencement speaker will be

A video of the water was published on the Athens Messenger's website Wednesday.

Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Thursday, March. 17, 2016:

Of the many hot issues in Nelsonville, water is not usually one.

That changed Wednesday when The Athens Messenger posted a reader-submitted video of someone setting a Nelsonville resident’s tap water ablaze.

The man said he became curious after noticing the water pressure was low, and the water seemed to be bubbling. The video has since been making the rounds on Facebook.

Some might say fracking is to blame. That remains a topic of discussion, but at least one self-proclaimed geologist has rebuffed the claim in another fracking-heavy area — North Dakota.
