Savannah Jo Dorsey was named MAC East Pitcher of the of Week after pitching two complete game shutouts last weekend.
Savannah Jo Dorsey was named Mid-American Conference East Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.
The award came after her dominating performance in the Indiana Classic last weekend.
Dorsey pitched two complete game shutouts en route to leading Ohio to three wins. She had 30 strikeouts, only allowed eight hits, had no earned runs and pitched 17 and 2/3 innings during the weekend.
Ohio's home opener against Wright State, which was scheduled for Wednesday March 16, has been canceled. Ohio's home opener is now scheduled for March 25 against Western Michigan. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
The Bobcats will travel to North Carolina for the NC State Hyatt Place Invitational. Ohio will play Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Friday at 10 a.m. and North Carolina State at 3 p.m.
