The festival is this weekend.
Good morning. Here's what you need to know for Thursday, April 14, 2016:
By nixing its shuttle service to Number Fest, Prime Social Group might have inadvertently created a black market.
On Wednesday someone posted to Facebook a link to a Google spreadsheet for organizing rides to and from the two-day music festival. The catch: it’ll be $5 for a one-way ride.
Technically speaking, collecting fees for rides in this way violates Athens Municipal Code. You’d need a taxicab license to do it legally.
As of press time, more than 75 people had signed up for a ride. In other words, the driver is primed to make roughly $400 off the venture.
