Metro Station will perform at UPC and BSCPB's annual #TBT concert.

#TBT concert moved from South Beach to Baker Center Ballroom

One day before the event, it was announced that the #TBT concert would be moved from South Beach to Baker Center Ballroom.

The #TBT concert featuring Metro Station was previously supposed to be held on South Beach, but because of about a 70 percent chance of rain Thursday, the concert is now moved to Baker Center Ballroom.

“It’s just so nice outside right now. Why not have it outside?” Elise Mills, a junior studying strategic communication, said.

Mills said she was not sure if she was going to the concert, but she probably wouldn’t go now because Baker Center is far from her home.

Abigail Roberg, a sophomore studying business administration, said she wasn’t planning on going to the concert, and added that Baker Center is too formal for a concert location.

Some students were not phased by the change.

“Rain and concerts don't usually mix,” Lanina Smith, a sophomore studying biochemistry, said. “(Having the concert inside is) probably better if it’s going to rain because I don't want to get sick, especially because of finals week.”

Smith said she will still attend the concert because the band reminds her of her middle school years, but she was unaware of the location change.

“(Metro Station) was a big nostalgia thing from my childhood,” Smith said.
