All of a sudden, Americans have decided gluten is the enemy and eating healthy is the cool thing to do. I also want to be cool, so I have recreated a dish that is healthy, yet satisfying.

First things first: You're going to need to get a spaghetti squash (found at Kroger and Aldi, to name a few places) and some spaghetti sauce.

Once you have obtained the supplies, it's time to dive in.You're going to want to poke holes in the squash carefully with a big knife. That's right; just stab that bad boy, leaving multiple lacerations. That will allow for ventilation. Once that's done, pop that squash into the microwave for about 10 minutes. While you're waiting an agonizing 10 minutes for your meal to finish cooking, feel free to eat a pre-game meal.

Once those 10 minutes are up, use a towel or oven mitts to remove the now-scalding-hot squash. The tender squash should easily be cut down the middle into halves.

Scoop out the seeds from the middle with a spoon to ensure no spaghetti squash will begin to grow in your stomach. When the coast is clear, use that same spoon to scrape the inside of the squash, creating spaghetti-like strands.

Place the innards in a bowl and garnish with some salt, pepper, spaghetti sauce and a plentiful amount of Parmesan cheese. Bon appetit!
