Bumps and Bruises Blog: Ohio heads to Rutgers this weekend

As the season progresses for the Bobcats, and the weekend series continue to physically impact them, they will inevitably get injured. Post reporters Jordan Horrobin and Spencer Holbrook will write a weekly blog — if injuries allow — documenting Ohio’s bumps and bruises.

After a week which saw many injuries and illnesses, the Bobcats (19-4-1) are now relatively healthy and ready to hit the road for a weekend series in Piscataway, New Jersey to take on Rutgers.

Gianni Evangelisti has been nursing a broken finger for quite some time now, but he will play.

Austin Heakins (back/neck) went through a full practice. He will play this weekend.

Brock Rumbaugh (back/ribs) had a full practice and will play.

Patrick Hannan did not practice.

Mike Lafrenier is wearing a red, no contact jersey this week in practice, but will play.

“He’s got to play,” coach Sean Hogan said.

All three goalies went through full practices without injury.
