Bye Nick — ‘The Bachelorette’ starts immediately after 'The Bachelor' got down on one knee

The "After the Final Rose" special is usually pretty boring. The new couple talks about how much they love each other, the loser agrees to go to Bachelor in Paradise and the Bachelorette talks about the upcoming season. However, despite Nick’s season being pretty boring overall, this episode of "After the Final Rose" was much different. Rachel Lindsey, the new Bachelorette, expected to come on the show and talk about how she’s excited, but host Chris Harrison sprung a surprise on her — her season would start right then on stage.

Rachel is obviously shocked but cool with it. She meets a man named who booked a ticket to Vegas for the two of them and already had a ring. She also meets a man named Dane who proclaims he is “ready to go black and (he's) never going back.” She even busts out some moves with the final man she meets.

Even though Rachel only meets four of the nearly 30 men she will date, she is happy with what she sees. The men are energetic and ready to date the smart, accomplished and beautiful woman that Rachel is. Fans of The Bachelorette have been waiting for a surprise like this for several seasons.

Rachel’s season is already off to a way better start than Nick’s. Nick started his season from a place of insecurity but Rachel is confident and ready to meet a husband. Her carefree attitude will probably bring great dates and meaningful conversation. She also seems to be attracting men who are eager to get to know her.

The only downfall to this last minute start to the season is that viewers have to wait weeks until the real season of The Bachelorette actually starts. It seems like Bachelor nation is finally getting the season it deserves after putting up with Nick’s crying.
