If you were starting to wonder what Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) and Jasmine (Karen David) were up to on Once Upon a Time, you’re in luck, because the characters are back. Though the appearance may be short-lived, it was nice to catch up with them on their quest to find Agrabah. Here is what happened in Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time.
Jasmine and Aladdin return
The last time we saw Aladdin and Jasmine, Aladdin was transformed into the genie to help Jasmine find Agrabah. Instead, the two are transported to the Enchanted Forest and have difficulties on their journey.
When they stumble across a boat, they take it out into the lake. While there, they are attacked by a kraken and the Nautilus shows up. Jasmine and Aladdin are happy to see Hook, who was trapped on the Nautilus by Gideon. The Nautilus runs on kraken blood and Gideon used the last of it. Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) is a little upset that they can’t use the kraken’s blood, and things get worse when the Nautilus takes on water. Jasmine uses a wish to put them on dry land.
Snow gets drunk
To cheer up Emma (Jennifer Morrison), Regina (Lana Parrilla) comes up with the idea to have a ladies’ night out and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) tags along. Snow gets drunk after one drink and it is hilarious. When some Viking-like men try to leave the pub without paying, Snow calls them out and challenges them to a game of darts. But instead of darts, they throw knives. Snow still has deadly aim when she’s drunk.

Agrabah is restored
When they get on dry land, Captain Nemo (Faran Tahir) and his crew venture off to fix the Nautilus while Hook uses a magical compass to find Jafar (Oded Fehr). The group comes across a hut in the middle of some trees. They think the hut belongs to Jafar, but it’s really in the care of Ariel.
In Agrabah, when it was still a city, Ariel tried to help Jasmine protect it. The two failed and had not seen each other since. When Ariel walks into her house and finds her friends, she is happy to see them.
Jasmine tells her she is looking for Jafar, and they find a vase that they think contains the villain. Sure enough, when Jasmine rubs its exterior, out pops Jafar, but he is not a genie. He puts Ariel, Aladdin and Hook to sleep with the snap of his fingers.
Jafar is arrogant and doesn’t believe Jasmine will be able to restore Agrabah, so he tells her where he hid it. Agrabah has been inside of a ring she has carried this entire time. Jafar plans to get rid of Jasmine, but she is able to pour red powder on him that transforms him into a walking stick.
Jasmine does not want to use her last wish on Agrabah because she would rather free Aladdin so he is not a genie. Instead, she relies on the one spell-breaker that always works — true love’s kiss. She finally kisses Aladdin and Agrabah emerges. Now the two can live happily ever after.

Hook is able to send Emma a message
For the time being, Hook is trapped in Agrabah. All he wants to do is talk to Emma and tell her he didn’t leave by his own free will. Ariel, with all of her thingamabobs, has just the thing — a seashell that acts like a telephone. Hook has one back home, too. He uses it and it just so happens Emma hears Hook talk into it. He tells her everything that happened and says, “I’m trying to get home to you, and I won’t ever stop until I do.” Yay, the power couple still loves each other.

Gideon gives Emma a job
While Emma is sitting on the porch, the bartender from the pub comes up to her — except it’s really Gideon (Giles Matthey) in disguise. While she was at the bar, she talked to the impostor and cried on a napkin. Gideon took the napkin and now somewhat controls Emma. So she cries and now he controls her? Weird. Anyway, he wants her to do something for him, then he will bring Hook back. But the task is a doozy — he wants her to kill the Black Fairy.
