Miley Cyrus can’t stop and won’t stop — the singer released a new single Thursday.
“Malibu” explores her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth, her co-star in 2010's The Last Song, adapted from the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name.
The track, like the beaches of California, is breezy. Cyrus stepped away from the spectacle and stripped it down, creating a raw track that mimics more of what she produced during the time of Hannah Montana: The Movie.
With so much electronic music on the radio, Cyrus’ new song is refreshing. It might not be a No. 1 hit — especially with other big artists releasing new music — but it reintroduces the world to Cyrus and the sound she has adopted.
Cyrus is currently working on a new album that is slated to be released later in the year.
