Football: Ohio unveils new black uniforms

Ohio has some new threads for next Tuesday.

The Bobcats released new black uniforms Friday for Tuesday's game against Miami. The game is this year's "Bobcat Blackout."

Shirts have been sold around campus for students over the last few weeks that read "Haunt Miami" in preparation for Halloween night.

Ohio first wore something other than green and white in 2011 for the Marshall game when the team first unveiled black uniforms. Ohio won 44-7.

The uniform was originally debuted with just white helmets, as the Bobcats exclusively wore white helmets until 2012, when they went to Penn State and unveiled a matte green helmet. Ohio won that game 24-14.

Each year since that, Ohio wears all-black uniforms for one game. That usually falls on a mid-week game that is played on ESPN.

Ohio (6-2, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) and Miami (3-5, 2-2 MAC) will kickoff at 8 p.m. Tuesday
