Student reports she was struck in face outside Bryan Hall

The Ohio University Police Department tweeted a crime alert Thursday evening about an incident outside Bryan Hall.

A female student was walking on the steps of the hall when “three college aged males wearing hoodies threw an object at her,” according to the tweet. It resulted in a laceration on her face.

The student also told police one of the men shouted a homophobic slur at her.

OUPD will issue a full crime alert Friday about the incident. The tweet is the third crime alert OUPD has issued during November.

On Nov. 10, a woman reported being forcibly groped when three men approached her in the parking lot by Washington and Jefferson halls.

On Nov. 3, OUPD released a crime alert about the arrest of six men in three connected incidents. Charges against them included burglary, obstruction of justice and improper handling of a firearm.
