Thread the Needle: Fashion forward stocking stuffers

With the holiday season quickly approaching, it’s hard to keep a light to-do list. That proves especially difficult when you have been signed up for every white elephant gift exchange and secret Santa under the sun. That’s why I found the best beauty gifts to satisfy your list, all for $20 and under each.

For the girl who needs to relax: This girl has been going a mile a minute ever since she got back from Thanksgiving break. She has three essays to write, six tests to study for and a group project to top it off. Most days, she can be found at the library trying to not pull her own hair out. A gentle reminder to take some time for herself (after finals, of course) and relax is exactly what she needs for Christmas. The Giant Golden Wonder bath bomb from Lush will absolutely do the trick. The bath bomb will remind her that rest is just around the corner, and the adorable present shape will get her in the holiday spirit.

For the true millennial at heart: This girl could form a small country with the amount of followers she has on Twitter. She was first in line for the new rose gold iPhone, and has styled a whole wardrobe around millennial pink. What this girl needs is to incorporate millennial pink into her own beauty routine with the Too Faced sketch marker liquid art eyeliner from Sephora. Her eyes will be accentuated by the pink eyeliner when she is taking selfies.

For the comfy, cozy girl: This girl can be found in bed wearing pajamas, or reading in front of a warm fire. Even when she must leave the comfort of home to take a final, she will be clad in the softest sweaters and the stretchiest leggings. These Leopard print faux fur booties from Pottery Barn Teen are the epitome of comfort. The slippers will definitely keep her feet warm through all those Netflix marathons.

For the outdoorsy type: Even though it is 30 degrees outside, this girl is still hiking up at The Ridges. She is the first person to call for a spontaneous snowball fight, and you know she will be up for late night walks around campus. For those dreary indoor days, get her the White Woods candle from Bath and Body works to make her feel like she is outdoors. Or at least smell like she is outdoors.

For the environmentalist: This girl  is an environmental activist on campus, and wears all the latest hemp clothing. Whether she is stopping global warming or saving the whales, she is environmentally conscious in everything she does. Try gifting her a glossy lipstick from Burt’s Bees, an all natural beauty company. With striking colors like Peony Dew and Blush Ripple you can’t go wrong.
