Not everyone has a sibling that is of age to go to bars. Here is a list of six fun activities to do if your sib is underage.
See a movie
There are multiple movie theaters in Athens, so there are a lot of options for different movies and movie times. The Athena Grand, 1008 E. State St., and Fun Barn, 14333 US-33, are always showing popular movies while the Athena Cinema shows more art house films.
Play pool in Baker Center
Baker has multiple pool tables on the first floor, so you don’t have to go to a bar if you want to play pool. You can check out everything you need with your student ID on the fourth floor.
Go bowling
Rollerbowl Lanes, 28 Palmer St., is a great place to go because they are always having deals. Bowling is super cheap and a fun way to pass the time no matter what age your sib is.
Go ice skating
Bird Arena opens up when there isn’t a hockey game, so heading over there to go ice skating is always a great option. There are different times available during both the day and night so you can go with a sib of any age.
Play arcade games
Fun Barn doesn’t only show movies. They also have a ton of arcade games where you and your sib can win prizes. Playing around in the arcade then seeing a movie would be a great way to spend a Saturday.
Go for a swim
The Aquatic Center, 50 S. Green Drive, has recreational swim hours on the weekend if you are looking to distract yourself and your sib from the cold weather. The pool has a shallow end for younger swimmers as well as a deeper section.
