Want to run for Student Senate? Here's the timeline

In an email sent Tuesday, Walter Milhoan, chief justice of the Student Senate judicial panel, announced the deadlines to run for next year's senate.

Applications for candidacy opened at 7 a.m. Tuesday and can be found by logging in to OrgSync with your student account information. To be eligible, you must be a student on Ohio University's Athens campus with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. You can only run for one voting senate position in an election. Those going for "regionally bound" seats, such as East Green senator, must confirm their intent to live in that region. You must also state your ticket affiliation and upload the required signature page.

Voting will happen April 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Senate voted in December to shorten the election period, which was previously two days, to a single day.
