Head coach Rachel Komisarz-Baugh will not return to Ohio next season, the Ohio athletic department told The Post on Wednesday.
During her tenure at Ohio, Komisarz-Baugh coached five First Team All-Mid-American Conference honorees. As a team, Ohio never finished better than fifth at the MAC Championships under Komisarz-Baugh, including a seventh-place finish this year.
The athletic department declined to give a reason for her departure other than the program heading in a new direction.
No timetable or possible candidates for Komisarz-Baugh's replacement have been named, but the job is posted online.
Komisarz-Baugh was named the head coach at Ohio in 2014 after spending five years as an assistant at Louisville. She won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, for her part in the 800-meter freestyle relay.
