Fans react to LeBron James signing with the Lakers

It was announced in a tweet Sunday night that LeBron James will sign a four-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010 to join the Miami Heat, James returned to his hometown team in 2014. 

James’ contract with the Lakers will earn him $154 million. He had a three-year contract with the Cavaliers that was worth $100 million, according to ESPN.

Clevelanders and longtime fans went to Twitter to express their feelings about him leaving. Some thought he deserved to leave because he gave Cleveland a championship after 52 years. Others were not so happy about the decision.
