Here are five last-minute Halloween costumes that will save you from stress

As Halloween approaches, it can be stressful trying to find the perfect costume. If you’re freaking out about a costume, all hope is not lost.

It’s time to get spooky, and these last-minute ideas will help you get out of any bind, and they’re all easily accessible. So, whether you’ve been searching with no luck or you’re a master procrastinator, here are five cute and easy last minute Halloween costumes:

Meredith Grey or Derek Shepherd

It’s a beautiful day to save lives with these costumes. Meredith and Derek are both doctors on the hit show Grey’s Anatomy, and their outfits are relatively simple. To perfect each of these outfits, all you need are a set of blue scrubs and a white jacket with their names on it. Scrubs are pretty cheap and easy to find — you can even get them at Follett’s Bookstore, 63 S. Court St.

If you’re not the biggest Grey’s Anatomy fan, you can always take this costume idea and just go as a doctor. For a little extra flair, you can purchase a funky-colored or -patterned scrub cap to complete your ensemble. Scrubs, jackets and scrub caps are available on Amazon.

Jake from State Farm

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?” To complete this hilarious Halloween costume, grab a red shirt, a brown belt, khaki pants and a nametag. This ensemble will prompt people to ask “what are you wearing?” for the entire night, but it will certainly be a crowd favorite. If you want to make the costume as accurate as possible, you can buy a Jake from State Farm nametag on Amazon for $6.95.

Arthur

It’s not “every day when you’re walking down the street” that you see this cool costume. Whether you’re going for the Arthur meme or simply the childhood cartoon character, this costume is easy to put together, and you probably have most of the materials already. You need jeans or khaki pants, a white collared shirt, a yellow sweater, round glasses (real or fake) and some aardvark ears. To make the ears, you can buy a headband and craft your ears to sit on top. You can also purchase headband ears on Amazon for $4.88. If you don’t want to make your own ears, or buy them online, you can also put your hair up into two high buns to look like ears.

Three hole punch Jim Halpert or Dwight Schrute

Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica and best costume with these two simple last-minute ideas from The Office. For three hole punch Jim, you’ll need a white dress shirt, a black tie, black pants and three circles cut out of black construction paper. Jim was extremely anti-spirited when it came to Halloween and, seeing as he spent little time putting this costume together, it is extremely easy to create yourself.

Dwight Schrute is also an easy option, needing only a yellow dress shirt, a red striped tie, khaki pants, aviator frame glasses and center-parted hair. This ensemble is complete with Dwight’s signature quotes and his disapproving look.

David Dobrik

No need to ask SeatGeek for help with this costume idea. David is usually the one behind the camera in his famous vlogs, but when we do get to see him he is always wearing the same thing. All you need for this costume is black pants, a black shirt, a black baseball cap and a camera to look like you’re vlogging.

If you’re an avid David Dobrik watcher and have already bought his merchandise, you can switch out the black shirt for that item, complete with the black pants and a black hat. Maybe you’ll even get some good vlog footage for your own channel through this costume.
