Ohio received votes in AP Top 25 on Monday poll for the first time in program history.
The Bobcats (12-0) are one of three undefeated teams in the country after a road win against Buffalo last Saturday extended their program record for consecutive wins to begin a season. Saturday was also Ohio’s first win at Buffalo since 2015.
Ohio’s offense has shouldered much of the load toward its winning streak. The Bobcats are eighth in the country in points per game (84.2), 18th in field goal percentage (46.8 percent) and 11th in scoring margin (21.9 points per game).
The Bobcats will complete arguably the toughest two-game stretch of their regular season on Wednesday when they play Central Michigan at The Convo. The Chippewas (10-3, 1-0 MAC) are reigning MAC Tournament champions and received three votes in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.
