‘Game of Thrones’ leads Emmy nominations with a record breaking 32; HBO and Netflix top networks

The 71st Annual Primetime Emmy Award nominations already have Game of Thrones setting records, with 32 total nominations, and Netflix and HBO are the top two networks with nominations. 

Game of Thrones is up for Outstanding Drama Series, but also scored lead acting nominations for Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke. Among the other nominations were previous Outstanding Comedy Series winner, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel with 20 nominations, HBO’s Chernobyl with 19 nominations, NBC’s Saturday Night Live with 18 nominations and Netflix’s When They See Us with 16 nominations.
