OU requires COVID-19 training for people returning to campus

Ohio University announced Thursday that everyone returning to campus in Phase 1 must complete an online course about how to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

At this time, only those in Phase 1 are required to complete the module.

The course is 10 minutes long and goes over expectations for personal protection, such as face masks, hygiene and physical distancing, according to a media release.

Students and faculty and staff members must complete the training before returning to campus.

The course also reviews university policies and the OHIO Pledge, which all students are required to sign, regardless of what phase they are in.

The pledge asks individuals to affirm their role in stopping the spread of COVID-19, according to a previous Post report. It also acknowledges following guidelines that are covered in the training course.

There are separate courses for students and faculty and staff. Both can be accessed on OU’s website.
