High School Football: Nelsonville-York looks to even record at Vinton County

Nelsonville-York is back on the road for a week four showdown against Vinton County (2-1) on Friday. The Buckeyes are looking for their second-straight win over the Vikings and their third win in four years.

The Buckeyes will try to continue playing well on both sides of the ball after getting its first win of the season last week. They scored 35 first-half points in the win on 39 runs and one pass attempt. The run game was led by Kobi Bennington and Hudson Stalder, who should be seeing a lot of carries again on Friday.

The Vikings have a three-year starting quarterback and a similar rushing attack that brings in multiple runners, so a key to the game for Nelsonville-York will be to control the line of scrimmage.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
