Student Senate announces 2020 election results

Editor's Note: Mikayla Rochelle, elect for At-Large Senator, is also the assistant opinion editor of The Post.

Student Senate released the preliminary results Tuesday of its election for the 2020-2021 academic year. 

Official results are pending successful disbursement of any and all fines, according to a news release from Student Senate.

The organization saw an increase in votes from last year with 815 students who cast their vote during this election and 793 students who voted last year. Here are the results:

President

Ian Carter, from Voices For Ohio, won with 628 votes. Twelve other students received votes.

Vice President

Elizabeth Lilly, from Voices for Ohio, won with 635 votes. Seven other students received votes.

Treasurer

Becky “Eliza” Ivan, from Voices for Ohio, won with 653 votes. Six other students received votes.

At-Large Senators

  • Mikayla Rochelle was elected, receiving 544 votes.
  • Noah Kiger was elected, receiving seven votes.
  • Grant Adams was elected, receiving four votes.
  • Caleb Prante was elected, receiving three votes.
  • Elizabeth Mancusco was elected, receiving three votes.

Three other students received votes.

SAC Representatives

  • Liz Behage was elected with 609 votes.
  • Richard Danylo was elected with 507 votes.
  • Adam Boesinger was elected with eight votes.
  • Brogan Speraw was elected with seven votes.
  • Robert L. Jones was elected with six votes.
  • Zach Reynolds was elected with six votes.
  • Chandler Jent was elected with five votes.
  • Elizabeth Mancusco was elected with four votes.
  • Willis Sears was elected with two votes.

Three other students received votes.

Off-Campus Senators

  • Noah Kiger was elected with seven votes.
  • Derek Meola was elected with six votes.
  • Connor Branch was elected with three votes.
  • Eliana Tartel was elected with three votes.
  • Richard Danylo was elected with three votes.

Ten other students received votes.

Residential Senators

  • Casey Hall-Jones was elected with eight votes.
  • Lily Nord was elected with six votes.
  • Zach Reynolds was elected with six votes.
  • Chandler Jent was elected with three votes.
  • Jaden Burns was elected with three votes.
  • Justin Fink was elected with three votes.

Three other students received votes.

University College Senator

No candidate received more than one vote.

Graduate College Senator

Elizabeth Mancuso was elected with two votes.

Russ College of Engineering and Technology Senator

Derek Meola was elected with seven votes.

Scripps College of Communication Senator

Elizabeth Lily was elected with three votes.

Two other students received votes.

Center for International Studies Senator

No candidate received more than one vote.

College of Arts and Sciences Senator

Elaina Tartel was elected with six votes.

Six other students received votes.

College of Business Senator

Tyee Albert Patt was elected with four votes.

Three other students received votes.

College of Fine Arts Senator

No candidate received more than one vote.

College of Health Sciences and Professions Senator

Elizabeth Lily was elected with two votes.

Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education Senator

No candidate received more than one vote.

Honors Tutorial College Senator

Haley Janoski was elected with 49 votes.
