After much anticipation, Ohio volleyball will be returning to the court Friday for its season opening match against the Central Michigan Chippewas. This will be the first time either team sees the court in a game setting since fall of 2019.

Series History
Ohio is 6-1 against the Chippewas under head coach Deane Webb. Last season, the Bobcats defeated Central Michigan in three sets (25-22, 25-21, 25-19) in their only match of the season. Despite the winning history of this series, the Bobcats need to attack quick and make their presence known during the match looking ahead to the MAC Tournament in April.
This match will set the tone for the shortened spring season featuring league opponents only. Ohio looks to start strong with a foundation of 14 returning team members, including 2019 MAC Player of the Year and Co-Defensive Player of the Year Tia Jimerson and 2019 MAC Setter of the Year Vera Giacomazzi.
