After September had some of the best content from Netflix yet, October won’t be following too far behind with new seasons from originals On My Block and You. Following suit, a lot of new thrilling originals and childhood classics will be coming back to Netflix this fall.
While films One Piece and 2012 are leaving, the over 100+ new titles showing up certainly make up for it. Get ready to get cozy and feel the autumn mood with these new classics everyone will be raving about. You won’t want to miss out.
The Guilty (Oct. 1)
Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a 911 operator in this new psychological thriller. After being demoted, Joe (Gyllenhaal) is forced to handle the phone calls, but soon gets whipped into gear as a strange call from a woman is received. This movie puts the audience on edge and makes them feel as if they are in the call center with Gyllenhaal’s character. As time goes on, the audience starts to feel the breakdown coming along as many sudden events occur as well.
Zodiac (Oct. 1)
Based on the story of the Zodiac Killer, this film stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Jake Gyllenhaal who recreated the difficult search for the famous serial killer. A cartoon artist at a newspaper becomes obsessed with trying to crack the codes and find the killer, while scenes also show some of the killings themselves. While being partially accurate, this recreation takes you on the hunt.
On My Block (Oct. 4)
After a year and a half, the final season of On My Block is finally being released. Fans have eagerly been waiting to see how Ruby and Jasmine will take on their senior year and how the show will come to an end. Things are also changing for many other characters and loose ends will be tied.
There’s Someone Inside Your House (Oct. 6)
Director Patrick Brice brings a new slasher film to Netflix for Halloween. A transfer student, Makani, has recently moved to Nebraska to finish her senior year, but is surprised to find a killer wreaking havoc in her school. While being stalked and blackmailed, Makani and her friends have to figure out who the killer is before they’re next on the list.
Baking Impossible (Oct. 6)
In this unique baking show, bakers and engineers are paired to make over-the-top dishes ready to impress everyone. Instead of only being judged on taste and presentation, they will also be facing structural tests and other challenges to show their skills. With Cupcake Wars host, Justin Willman, a new game has come to the table.
You (Oct. 13)
After far too long, the third season of this Netflix original will be released, and fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting to see what happens. After the show's original release, it blew up all over social media and became one of Netflix’s most popular originals. In this season, it’ll take viewers on the ride of Joe and Love’s marriage and down another newfound path of obsession for Joe.
